| Now that its official, that the 2012 World Corporate Golf Challenge will be held in May 2012 in South Africa, the Licensee for the World Cororate Golf Challenge in Zimbabwe, Golfzone, will hold the qualifiers to this prestigious event in March/April at a venue to be advised.
In May 2011 at Royal Harare Golf Club, FBC Bank team of Livingstone Gwata, Aulia Alfazema, Willie Baira and Charles John won the 2011 Zimbabwe Corporate Golf Challenge (qualifiers to the World Corporate Golf Challenge) and won the right to compete with the world’s best corporate in Simola (Knsyna in South Africa). | Northern Ireland was crowned 2011 World Corporate Golf Challenge Champions during an eventful week at Simola in Knysna, South Africa last week. Zimbabwe’s representatives, FBC Bank Ltd, fielded a four member strong team that was split into two teams due to an eleventh hour change of format. The pair of Aulia Alfazema and Willie Baira, and that of Livingstone Gwata and Charles John achieved commendable 3rd and 9th places respectively out of 19 countries that participated.

| The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange listed FBC Bank Ltd golf team wrote a piece of history for itself when it was crowned the 2011 Zimbabwe Corporate Golf Challenge Champions at a colourful prize presentation ceremony at Royal Harare Golf Club on 15 April 2011. The team, made up of Livingstone Gwata, Charles John, Aulia Alfazema and Willie Baira choked up an unassailable 120 points to claim the trophy ahead of strong contenders, West End Clinic, on 112 points. Hillary Kamunjowa-Kaseke was in a class of his own as he amassed 44 points off 10 handicap for a gross 74 to claim the Individual Best Golfer for the day.
