SAVING SHOTS AROUND THE GREENS : BunkersView Tip Of The Week
Lower Body Key To Saving Shots From Bunkers
A fundamental key to playing a good consistent bunker shot is all in the stance and angles.
Once in the bunker attain a wide stance with feet firmly sunk in the sand.

Depending on the distance of the bunker shot needed you must angle your feet in line – left of your target, anything between 10° and 30°. Always maintain an open club face aiming at the target (the flag) depending on your feet line degree.

Keep a more exaggerated flex in your knees, keeping your center of gravity lower to the ground. This will help with your swing path and execution of the shot.
The most important tip I could give is that throughout the entire bunker shot; never change the stance or angles of your lower body.

Maintain your lower part of the body (hips and below) and swing through with the upper part of the body.
Keeping this in mind, it will provide a more consistent result out of the bunkers every time.
