BECKY PASI WINS THE ZLGU NATIONAL OPEN MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP

Becky Pasi won the season-ending Zimbabwe Ladies Golf Union (ZLGU) National Open Matchplay Championship held at Borrowdale Brooke Golf and Country Club last weekend (16-19 October 2009). Beitbridge Railways (BBR) sponsored the tournament. In what turned out to be an unexpected final match-up in the Championship Division, Pasi found herself up against the youthful Batsirayi Tilowakuti, a rising junior star from Hatcliffe. However, the more senior Pasi drew from her greater experience under pressure to edge a fighting Tilowakuti in an intriguing final. read more... | | |
ZIM LADIES GOLF ASSOCIATION TO HOST THREE IMPORTANT TOURNAMENTS IN MAY/JULY

The Zimbabwe Ladies Golf Union (ZLGU) is hosting the Gilberson & Page Trophy, the A & B Triangular Match Play Tests and the Zimbabwe Ladies Amateur Strokeplay in May and June this year.These important tournaments will include teams from Zambia, Kenya and Botswana. This year’s tournaments will tee-off from 29 May 2009 to 8 June 2009 and played in Harare at Royal Harare, Chapman and Borrowdale Brooke Golf Clubs. read more... | | |
BROOKE & ROYAL LADIES SHINE IN OPENER

Borrowdale Brooke and Royal Harare ruled the roost on the opening weekend of the 2008 Harare Province Ladies Golf Association (HPLGA) League at Chapman Golf Club on 22 June with both sides setting the early pace in the Silver and Bronze divisions respectively. A total of 12 teams took to the field in both divisions.

Clair “Mama G” Minter blasted her way to her second Trophy on the Zimbabwe Ladies Golf Union (ZLGU) circuit when she coasted to a 10-stroke victory in the ladies Manicaland Strokeplay tournament at Hillside Golf Club in Mutare over the weekend (24-25 May).
